# Snakemake as an organizational tool

`Snakemake`, a workflow organization tool, can be a bit challenging for a new coder to wrap their head around. But, it turns out, so it also often is difficult to articulate and actualize our goals and workflow steps as bioinformaticians. `Snakemake` is, more than anything, a check on our logic...and a safeguard against catastrophic mistakes (as are the norm in manual data processing).
